4.  Morning and End-of-Shift Summary

  • At the start of your shift, send an email to the management team.
  • The primary purpose is so we know someone is on duty, but it also a great time to get to know each other.
  • At the end of your shift, you will send a more formatted email to the management team.
  • The primary purpose of this email is to report what was done.
  • You can copy previous End of Shift emails making sure to change the date.

  • Give a short run down of your shift/day and tell if you made any changes, such as adding new folks, turning mail on/off or having a very boring shift. You are going to want to at least come to your mailbox once a day and empty it out or check for important notices since all the list mail will come to you. But on your days off you can always turn your mail off to your management e-mail address and turn it on again the night before you go on duty.
  • And, yes there will be spam (just delete it).
